a kallah speaks

Racheli* a radiant young kallah who recently visited the Tiferes Devorah L'Kallah showroom was more than happy to share her thoughts.
TDL: "How did you expect the showroom to look? And what did you think when you actually saw what they were offering?"
"Actually," Racheli admitted, "I didn't have any expectations. I knew it was an organization, a gemach, and I was grateful for whatever they would offer me. But when I saw what TDL was all about-I was simply amazed!" Her eyes glowed with excitement. "I couldn't get over the selection, the layout, and the incredible variety of items that were offered to me. And the service-I felt like I was shopping in a regular store!"
TDL: "How was your experience with the Tiferes Devorah L'Kallah volunteers?"
"All I can say is that as a regular paying customer in a store, I have never gotten service that could compare with what I experienced at TDL."
TDL: "What are some of the items you received as a kallah?"
"I don't know where to start-I got major items, such as a dinette set, a food processor and a vacuum cleaner, as well as two sets of Corelle dishes, two sets of pots and silverware. I also received linens and towels, and they made sure to supply me with the extra items I never would have expected, like a Shabbos tablecloth, and bedskirts for our beds."
TDL: "What do you feel was most unique about this organization?"
"The way we were treated" Racheli answered without hesitation. "The women who assisted us were so warm and pleasant. They went out of their way to help us make our choices, without making us feel at all like we accepting tzedaka. That service, combined with the beautiful array of items they offered, truly made me feel like a queen."

It is our fervent hope that with Hashem's help, and with the generous assistance of all the friends and supporters of Tiferes Devorah L'Kallah, we can continue to ensure that each and every kallah approaches her wedding day truly feeling like a queen.
